How the Reseller Model Works — A Concrete Example

"Company A resells to its client Company B" — let's trace the money flow.

Company A operates 1 facility (Location) and 1 rental unit in Miyagi Prefecture, while also providing hospitality DX consulting services.
Company B operates 5 facilities (Locations) and 1,000 rental units in Nagano Prefecture — a large-scale accommodation operator.
Company A signs a Reseller Agreement with QuickGuestbook and resells & manages the service on behalf of Company B.
1

Company A signs up for their own use (Miyagi)

Pays the base fee + 1 Location + 1 Unit to the app.

Base fee ¥3,980 Location ¥800 1 Unit ¥298 Total ¥5,078 / month
2

Add Company B (Nagano, 5 Locations, 1,000 Units) as a resale customer

Since Company A already pays the base fee, only the Location and Unit costs need to be added.

+5 Locations × ¥800 +1,000 Units × ¥298 Additional wholesale cost ¥294,000 / month
3

Company A invoices Company B at its own price

Don't pass the wholesale price through as-is.
Factor in the value of integration, setup, and ongoing support and present Company B with a clear, service-inclusive price.

1 Location ¥1,200 1 Unit ¥600 Integration fee ¥5,000
COMPANY A'S COST (paid to QuickGuestbook)
¥294,000 / month
5 Locations × ¥800 + 1,000 Units × ¥298
COMPANY A'S REVENUE (invoiced to Company B)
¥611,000 / month
5 Locations × ¥1,200 + 1,000 Units × ¥600 + ¥5,000 integration fee
💡 This is the essence of good business. Rather than passing wholesale costs straight to the customer, price in your own added value — integration, setup, and ongoing support. The larger the client, the more room there is to build in higher margins through volume.
※ You may also create your own commission structures, such as paying sub-agents a percentage of successful upsells — the app does not restrict this.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which program should I choose?

If your main activity is referring customers, the Referral Program is the right fit. If you want to handle integration, setup, and support yourself and sell at your own price, the Reseller Program is recommended. The two programs cannot be combined.

As a reseller, will Company B (the end customer) know that QuickGuestbook exists?

With the white-label option, you can deliver the service entirely under your own brand name (white-label functionality is currently in development). In addition, by using the portfolio "invite" feature, Company B can log in without going through the subscription sign-up screen. All configuration, integration, and updates must be carried out by the reseller on behalf of the customer's property.
In general, Company A pays for the additional rental units used by Company B — but whether you charge ¥300 per unit (vs. ¥250 wholesale), or bundle everything including integration into a flat ¥10,000/month rate, is entirely up to Company A.

What if a reseller's customer (Company B) wants to further resell to their own customers (Company C)?

Company C is also managed as a customer of the reseller (Company A). The revenue-sharing arrangement and contract terms between Company B and Company C are entirely up to Company A to design. From the app's perspective, everything is handled as a single contract with Company A. The app will charge Company A for the additional rental units used by both Company B and Company C.

How does billing work?

Under the Referral Program, the customer pays QuickGuestbook directly, and 15% of that amount is returned to you each month.
Under the Reseller Program, you pay QuickGuestbook the wholesale price, and you are responsible for invoicing and collecting payment from Company B (your end customer).

Are there minimum volume requirements or long-term contract commitments?

There are no minimum volume requirements or long-term lock-in periods for either the Referral or Reseller programs. Feel free to try it at your own pace.

How should support and inquiries be handled?

Under the Referral Program, technical support is handled directly by QuickGuestbook.
Under the Reseller Program, you handle first-line support, and we provide backup assistance for issues that are difficult to resolve on your own.

If the owner of Company A sends an invite to their employees, will additional charges of ¥250 or ¥3,980 apply?

This app does not charge on a per-user basis. Billing is based solely on the number of rental units connected to Beds24 — ¥250 per unit charged to Company A. Options purchased by Company A, such as the Miyagi Prefecture collection ledger (monthly summary), are also available to Company A's customers including Company B. The rental unit costs for Company B are also paid by Company A.
In other words, housekeeping leads, consultants, virtual assistants, guides, and other staff can be invited and log in for free. This is called a staff user invitation.

Referral Program Overview (the following applies to the Referral Program).
The Referral Program and Reseller Program cannot be combined.

account_balance_wallet Commission Simulation per Contract

Commissions are calculated per contract, based on the base fee of ¥3,980/month and the number of Units (rooms) only — Location fees are excluded from commission calculations.
This is because Location fees include the cost of automatically generating tax-related documents available in each region.
Commissions apply for a maximum of 6 months from the start of the subscription billing period.

※ The base fee is ¥3,980/month and does not include Units.
※ Units are charged separately at ¥298/month per Unit.
Unit fees are billed monthly only and are not eligible for the annual discount. Even under an annual billing contract, Unit fees are charged separately each month.
※ Property count is not used in fee calculations; it is shown in the table as an operational reference only.
※ For example, a contract with "3 properties · 7 Units" is calculated based on 7 Units total — not the number of properties — resulting in ¥3,980 + 7 × ¥298 = ¥6,066/month.
※ The "6-month equivalent" for annual billing represents the sum of the lump-sum annual base fee (12 months at 10% discount) plus Unit fees (billed separately each month).
※ Agency commissions are calculated at approximately 15% of the pre-tax amount; figures are rounded and shown as approximate values.
※ The white-label option (¥7,700/month) is a separate add-on and is not included in the above calculations or eligible for commission.
※ The white-label option applies at the group level — covering an entire operating group — not on a per-property basis.
※ The above figures do not include Stripe payment processing fees. Commissions will be calculated after deducting 3.6% (plus an additional 1% for international credit cards) from the base price.

bar_chart Revenue Simulation by Number of Contracts

Commissions are based on a base fee of ¥3,980/month + ¥298/month per Unit (billed monthly; annual discount does not apply to Unit fees), meaning the more total Units across your contracts, the higher your earnings per contract.
In particular, signing clients who operate multiple properties under a single contract tends to mean more Units deployed — making it easier to build up recurring revenue even with a smaller number of contracts.
The table below uses "10 properties / 30 Units per contract" as a baseline scenario to give you a practical sense of what to expect from your sales activity.
Note: the number of properties is for reference only and does not affect commission calculations. Commissions are calculated based on number of contracts and total Unit count.

20 contracts10 properties / 30 Units eachapprox. ¥36,236approx. ¥190,276

※ The figures above are estimates based on "10 properties / 30 Units per contract." The base calculation per contract is: ¥3,980 + 30 × ¥298 = ¥12,920/month (tax included).
Unit fees are billed monthly only and are not eligible for the annual discount. Commissions on annual-billing contracts include both the lump-sum annual base fee (10% discount applied) and 12 months of Unit fees (no discount).
※ For monthly billing contracts, commissions are assumed to accrue each month for the duration of the contract (up to a 6-month cap).
※ For annual billing contracts, the commission cap is 6 months.
※ Agency commissions are calculated at approximately 15% of the pre-tax price; figures are rounded and shown as approximate values.
※ Additional options such as white-label are not eligible for commission.
※ Property counts are provided as an operational reference only and are not included in commission calculations.
※ The above figures do not include Stripe payment processing fees. Commissions will be calculated after deducting 3.6% (plus an additional 1% for international credit cards) from the base price.

record_voice_over Message from the Founder

QuickGuestbook was created to simplify the complex tax operations and on-site revenue management that lodging facilities face. Not only in Japan, but lodging owners all over the world struggle with tax management and cash handling. Paying as much as 15% commission to an OTA just to collect lodging tax is absurd, and most OTAs adopt a reverse-charge method when it comes to consumption tax. Will OTAs process payments for parking fees or early check-in charges for you? Will they prepare even part of the documentation needed for tax processing? In 2026, lodging tax will be newly introduced in 30 municipalities across Japan, with estimated annual tax revenue reaching 45 billion yen, and expected to rise to 70 billion yen in 2027. Comparable figures are said to be 8.2 trillion yen in the United States, 154 billion yen in Canada, 126 billion yen in Australia, 81.5 billion yen in France, 80 billion yen in Germany and Switzerland, and 17 billion yen in Taiwan. Small lodging businesses, including bed and breakfasts, continue to grow worldwide year after year, and all of them can become our customers — and yours. We sincerely welcome partners who can help spread this service in their own countries and regions. Let us support the global lodging industry together.
